Intention and Motivation in Buddhist Practice

  • Centre for the Study of Tibetan Buddhism in Geneva Vimalakirti Center room, Rue Henri-Frédéric-Amiel Genève, GE, 1203 Switzerland (map)

Monday 27 November 6.30 - 8.30pm

According to the Buddha's teaching, the mindset and intention with which we do things are just as important as the actions themselves. Intention is the source of all our actions: if it is pure and altruistic, it is considered very beneficial for our own good and that of others.

Motivation is the inner force that pushes us to act in accordance with our intentions. Positive and right intention and motivation can help transform our minds and achieve a state of peace on the path to enlightenment.

Teaching will be given in English and simultaneously translated into French.
