Lama Jampa Thaye continued his tour of the West coast of America with a public talk at the Bodhi Path Center in Santa Barbara. Here he explained the similarities between the difficult emotions stemming from desire, hatred and confusion about the true nature of mind, which affected the people of Tibet centuries ago and how we are affected by the same factors today in the modern world.
At the weekend Lama Jampa gave two days of teachings on the Madyamaka or ' middle way' view of Buddhism And how this differs from other views. Lama Jampa explained that he had been requested to give this teaching by Shamar Rinpoche and also Karma Thinley Rinpoche.
