Last weekend Lama Jampa continued to teach the Jewel Ornament of Liberation in Manchester. The two days of teaching were given in the city’s northern quarter and were as always much appreciated by all those who received them. One person who attended the teaching commenting that,
“Gampopa is a serious straight talker and says it as it is; there’s no where to hide once you’ve heard his teaching on suffering”.
For several days before the teaching commenced, Lama Jampa was in residence at Kagyu Ling, where he gave interviews to over 50 people supporting and advising them in their dharma lives.
On Sunday afternoon, Lama Jampa bestowed the initiation of Chogyur Dechen Lingpa’s Vajrasattva, enabling people to renew their vows and equipping those setting out on the path the requisite initiation for commencing the second part of the ngondro (preliminary practices).
Lama Jampa will return to Manchester later in the year (dates TBC) to transmit the next section of the text.
