In his recent visit, to Manchester, Lama Jampa completed teaching Gampopa’s magnus opus, the Thar Gyen, known in English as the Jewel Ornament of Liberation. This graduated path teachings contains all of the essential mahayana instructions to support dharma studies and provide spiritual nourishment for a lifetime.
At the end of the weekend Lama Jampa bestowed the initiation of Yellow Dzambala from Bari Lotsawa’s collection of sadhanas. Mendel Tensum offerings were made by people representing Dechen in Yorkshire, for the success of the new centre in Leeds, Karma Dechen Choling; and by the project team, for the successful development of the Mikyo Dorje Institute.
People in the North of England look forward to Lama Jampa’s return to Manchester, in February when he will commence teaching the Eighth Situ’s commentary on Third Karmapa’s Aspiration Prayer of Mahamudrathe at the Mikyo Dorje Shedra (for further details see the events page).
