Lama Jampa's final stop on his journey through southern Germany and Switzerland was the Bodhipath Center Renchen-Ulm. Here, he continued his teachings on Karmapa Rangjung Dorje's Shastra "Distinguishing Consciousness and Primordial Wisdom", drawing on the commentary "The Lamp That Dispels Darkness" by his own master, Karma Thinley Rinpoche.

This was the sixth part of the teaching spanning some three years or so, and as usual students from Switzerland, Germany, and other countries gathered in Renchen to receive this profound text on Zhentong Madhyamaka; some others participated by video link. As on the previous occasions, the Bodhipath team led by Sabine Teubner created a pleasant and friendly atmosphere for the weekend, allowing all participants to absorb the teachings in a joyful and relaxed atmosphere.
Lama Jampa continued with a detailed explanation of how the eight samsaric consciousnesses are purified into the primordial wisdom mind of the Buddha. He explained that the qualities of a Buddha are already present in our mind, in our everyday consciousness, and through recognition and transformation, they become the five primordial wisdoms and three kayas of the Buddha. In this particular section of the text, the arising of the two primordial wisdoms of the Sambhogakaya and the accomplishing wisdom of the Nirmanakaya were explained in detail. Through Lama Jampa's clear and lucid explanations, the audience gained a sense of the breadth and depth of realization at each stage of the path towards becoming a fully enlightened Buddha. Indeed we are left with a rather sobering assessment of our own state of mind compared to that of a Buddha! Nonetheless, by such teachings we can gain confidence in our potential for enlightenment, even as beginners in the Dharma.
