Lama Jampa teaches in Yorkshire, UK

This weekend people from across the UK gathered in the lovely Yorkshire Dales town of Harrogate to meet with and hear teachings from Lama Jampa Thaye.

On Saturday Lama Jampa continued teaching the ‘The Four Dharmas of Gampopa’.  This text presents a stage by stage approach to developing the understanding, insight and experience necessary to overcome our confusion and suffering.

On Sunday the Mayor of Harrogate, Councillor Nigel Simms, joined Lama Jampa for a private discussion and exchange of gifts.  Councillor Simms then introduced Lama Jampa to the large audience which had gathered for a talk on ‘Buddhism for Modern Times’ at the famous Old Swan Hotel. This was the first of Lama Jampa's talks to be streamed live to an international audience.

During the weekend Lama Jampa was also interviewed by presenters on both BBC Radio Leeds and BBC Radio York.

Lama Jampa's next public events will be in Mexico, beginning with teachings on Refuge and the Bodhisattva Vow on May 20. Click here for full details.
