Lama bestows the timeless blessings of Sakya Pandita and Shakya Shri Bhadra in Stuttgart

Lama Jampa's June visit to Sakya Dechen Ling in Stuttgart began with a visit to the site of the new Buddhist Cemetery which is in the process of being completed. Work is going on at the site to prepare it for the stone Buddha statue that has already been acquired, and hopefully in the future a stone stupa will also be installed.

Lama Jampa gave a public talk in Sakya Dechen Ling on the Friday evening, and then on the following two days continued to teach the next part of the Sakya Pandita's famous text 'Discriminating the Three vows'. Lama Jampa explained that the format and structure of this text functions in two different ways - the first more obvious purpose is to point out and refute the various ways the Buddha's teachings was being distorted or falsely interpreted at that time in thirteenth century Tibet. The second benefit to be gained from this comprehensive refutation of all things incorrect, is that Sakya Pandita simultaneously provides a complete and detailed overview of the correct way to practice as a counter to such errors.

On the last day, Lama Jampa complemented the philosophical study element of his visit to Stuttgart by bestowing the initiation of White Tara from the lineage of the great Kashmiri master Shakya Shri Bhadra.
