Lama Jampa Thaye teaches in Manchester

The final Mikyo Dorje Shedra of 2014 took place in Manchester during the weekend of 29-30 November. Hosted by Kagyu Ling, Lama Jampa completed the transmission of the Namshe Yeshe by the third Karmapa Rangjung Dorje, one of the core texts of the Kagyu Tradition. From the brilliantly clear commentary by Karma Thinley Rinpoche, Lama Jampa explained how mind is the basis for both samsara and nirvana. Having bestowed this great, profound work on the nature of mind, Lama Jampa reminded everyone of the importance of study in order to really benefit from its wisdom.

The Shedra concluded with the initiation of Manjushri Lion’s Speech from the lineage of the 9th Karmapa. Lama Jampa will return to Manchester in February when he will bestow the initiation of Padmasambhava from the Longchen Nyingthig tradition.

Lama Jampa will shortly be travelling to Japan to attend the World Buddhist Summit with Dechen Dolma.
