Lama Jampa’s teaching programme in West LA began on Saturday 9th July with the third part of Rain of Clarity. The event was attended by both established Buddhists and people interested in learning more about the dharma. In the afternoon he gave the initiation of Dzambala to members of the sangha from east and west coast USA.
The following Monday evening Lama Jampa kindly gave a discourse on the role of politics in relation to the Buddhist spiritual life entitled ‘Why Politics Doesn’t Matter’. The talk was given at the request of students and was attended by a large audience at the Highway Performance Space in Santa Monica.
During the week as well as giving interviews to students in LA , Lama Jampa was filmed by Daniel Adams for a forthcoming series of short Q & A videos. These will be publishes on Lama Jampa’s YouTube channel in due course.
The final event of the visit was an extensive presentation on the Four Limitless Meditations, also in Santa Monica.
Lama Jampa has now returned to London from whence he will soon be travelling to France to begin his summer residency at Sakya Changlochen Ling in the Dordogne.
