Lama Jampa gives teachings on Buddha Nature in Manchester, UK

This weekend Lama Jampa was in Manchester to give teachings in the magnificent surroundings of Manchester Town Hall. The event was attended by around 140 people from as far afield as the Americas.

All day Saturday and Sunday morning Lama Jampa taught the final part of ‘The Correct Discrimination of Zhentong Madhyamaka’, an explanation of the profound Buddha Nature view. This view understands the essence of all beings as naturally pure and endowed with limitless good qualities, and the work of the Buddhist path as a process of removing the complex yet imaginary coverings which currently obscure and prevent them from manifesting.

On Sunday afternoon Lama Jampa gave the initiation of Vajrassatva from the lineage of the nineteenth century treasure revealer Chogyur Lingpa.

The next event in this series will be 3-4 December in which Lama Jampa will teach ‘The Rays of the Stainless Vajra Moon’ by the 19th century master Jamgon Kongtrul Lodro Thaye. Further information at www.kagyubuddhism.org
