On Friday May 26th Lama Jampa along with Dechen sangha welcomed His Holiness Ratna Vajra to Sakya Thinley Rinchen Ling, the Buddhist centre established in Bristol by Lama Jampa forty years ago. His Holiness first visited the centre in it's second year when he was still a child and it was a joy for everyone to see him here on his sixth visit, now enthroned as the 42nd Sakya Trizin.
In the evening of his arrival His Holiness gave a public talk 'The Power of Buddhism' to a full audience at the beautiful Bristol City Hall.
The following day His Holiness began teachings for the two day Medicine Buddha initiation in Bristol City centre.
In the evening Lama Jampa accompanied His Holiness on a visit to the iconic Clifton suspension bridge.
Before leaving for his next engagement His Holiness and entourage went to visit the famous Gloucester Cricket Ground, which happens to be very near to the Sakya Buddhist Centre!
Following teachings in Bournemouth, London and Essex, His Holiness will be travelling to France to bless and teach at Sakya Changlochen Ling, Dechen's European retreat centre.
