Lama Jampa visited Kagyu Ling from 30th April - 4th May. During this time he gave private interviews to people wanting to discuss their dharma lives and seek his guidance.
Over the weekend of the 2nd and 3rd May, Lama Jampa continued to teach the Gyud Lama, or Suprememe Continuity, Jamgon Kongtrul Lodro Thaye's commentary on the Bodhisttva Maitreya's teaching to Asanga on Buddha Nature. In his traditional and authentic teaching stye, Lama Jampa gave a line by line explanation of the words and meaning and gave the reading transmission for the sections of the root text and commentary, in Tibetan.
Kagyu Ling Shedra, May 2026
This beautiful and profound work communicates the expansive, pure and rich true nature of reality, hidden within the minds of ordinary beings, like gold surrounded by ore.
Lama Jampa reminded people that although this core theme can be grasped conceptually, accessing it directly requires a lifetime of engagement and meditation. This is because the direct realisation of the gold‑like nature of reality cannot be encountered through virtuous activities, study, and reflection alone, despite their essential supportive roles.
The weekend concluded with Lama Jampa's bestowal of the blessing of Marichi or Ozer Chenmo, one of the 21 Taras. He gave this in response to His Holiness Karmapa's instruction that people practice or recite the mantra of Marichi to support the removal of obstacles to our dharma activities such as the successful acquisition of land.
Lama Jampa will return to Kagyu Ling and continue to teach the Gyud Lama on the weekend of 19th & 20th September.
